It could be a grounding issue. disconnect the KPC3+ from the PC then check to see if there is any voltage between the grounds from the PC and the KPC3+. There are two grounds - signal ground and chassis ground that is usually transferred through the shield on the cable. Unplugged walwart and no power. This computer and cable does work on a KPC3 here at the qth. Also on a KPC3+ on the hill 30 miles away.
