See Bob's site at http://web.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/aprs/fix14439.html for some of the explanation, but take a look at www.nwaprs.info for some "plain English" examples of digipeater setup that follow the "new" settings. Specifically, take a look at the WIDEn-n page at www.nwaprs.info/widen-n.htm. If you are using a KPC-3+ ver 9.1, modify the example to show your version number... e.g. APN391 for KPC-3+ ver 9.1 instead of APN382 for a Kantronics KPC-3+ ver 8.2. Hopefully you don't have the "broken" KPC-3+ ver 9.0. Kantronics made a free upgrade to ver 9.1 last year. Dunno if it's still a freebie upgrade. Speaking of ver 9.1 upgrade chips, some of you may recall me moaning last year about Kantronics wanting another $62.05 USD on top of the $5 USD for each ver 9.1 upgrade. Out of the blue, they sent the two ver 9.1 upgrade chips the other day that I was waiting for without having to fork out any more cash to them. That was a nice surprise. 73 es cul - Keith VE7GDH -- "I may be lost, but I know exactly where I am!"
