The Kenwood radios allow you to enter W instead of WIDE and R instead of RELAY in the path as a shorthand method of path entry. The radios would then expand W1 to WIDE1-1 for transmission. There may be other software or hardware that do something similar, but this is the one I know of. Note also that the shorthand is inclusive of the SSID (W2 = WIDE2-2). Don't know what they would do with W1-1,W2-2. As a further example for those that use the Kenwoods (including myself), to get WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2 in the path, you can enter W1,W2 for your path. However, to get WIDE2-1 you must enter WIDE2-1 I think. Hope this helps. 73, Pete Loveall AE5PL mailto:pete at ae5pl.net > -----Original Message----- > From: Robbie - WA9INF > Posted At: Sunday, February 26, 2006 12:09 PM > Subject: [aprssig] W1-1 vs WIDE1-1 > > What firmware, or software was there that recognized W1-1 as > well as WIDE1-1?
