This DingoTel device is not tied to FRS. It works with any radio that will interface with it. It could be tied to a commercial radio. http://www.dingotel.com/2way/about2way.asp As much as some old timers hate Echolink and IRLP, Internet linking of radio systems is on the rise, even outside of the Amateur Radio world. For emergency communications, I still wouldn't count on it, but for cost and convenience for a non-critical need, it is definitely attractive (talking casual or low priority commercial use here). -- A.J.
