I realize that Mac OS X and other UNIX platforms are frowned upon by many on this mailing list since they are "too hard" for many folks to use, but FWIW I use a KPC-3+ will a USB adapter all the time. I use the KPC-3+ mainly in KISS mode talking to Xastir, but from time to time put the KPC-3+ in cmd mode and talk to it with Z-Term (a terminal program like hyperterminal). I have also used it with Win XP running on Virtual PC on my Mac without any problems. The USB adapter is made by "iConcepts" and I believe it has the FTDI chip (though I'm not 100% sure.) --zawada
