They haven't carried that stuff for a while now.  The thing is .. if you had 
been buying that 'stuff' from them more than every two years ;-) .. what I 
mean is ..."If they were selling enough of that stuff" .. then they likely 
would have continued to sell it.

They haven't given up completely .. they still have some small parts is 
draws .. but nothing like they used to.

Dont expect to find any parts at a Radio Shack
anymore (in a mall).  I went to get a simple '1/8"
stereo miniature jack'  in an emergency...  Here
is the response:
"For a walkman or a cell phone?"
No, a jack
"you mean the big ones or the small ones?"
Miniature... small  but not the sub-mini...
To which he took me to a case with headphones in it.  I said:
No, I need the jack.
"Oh you mean the little thing with a hole in it?"
Yes.
"We dont carry that stuff any more."
Oh well..
