It doesn't even say 144-148 RX. You can safely ass-u-me that it's an AM TX only, and that there's no FM TX circuitry in there at all. -- John "Smokey Behr" Gleichweit FF1/EMT, CCNA, MCSE IPN-CAL023 N6FOG UP Fresno Sub MP183.5 ECV1852 List Owner x6, Moderator x4 CA-OES 51-507 -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org]On Behalf Of Wes Johnston Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2006 5:48 AM To: joe at dellabarba.com; TAPR APRS Mailing List Subject: Re: [aprssig] VHF Aircraft Channels I just checked the specs on that radio, and it shows TX 118-136.975. It does not say 144-148 tx. Do you have to mod the radio for 2m? And if you mod it, does that nullify the type acceptance?
