It runs on the IRLP node and generates an APRS object that contains the node number, the frequency, offset, tone, and status. Oh yes... and the lat/long as well. No application is needed at the IGate. The local IGate operator just sets the IGate to send the IRLP status out via RF. It would be sent once each hour or when the node status changes. 100 km might be a bit outside the aloha circle of most IGates.
