For SAR we wanted to know exactly that, how long had it been since we heard from each team. We added another display to Xastir (that can be enabled/disabled) next to each symbol to display time since last report. It starts out as green text, then goes to yellow, then to red at preset times. This lets us know by color which teams haven't been heard from.
