[aprssig] D7 battery

I have been using rechargeable AA batteries in my D7 battery holder designed for non rechargeable.  Recently my D7 rx audio gets distorted before the low battery beep goes off.  Has any one had this problem?  I realize the voltage is slightly lower but things were working OK until recently.
