Keith, Again, thanks for the reply. Yes - I have a manual. I worked on the tnc yesterday checking the software connection. However, I had to visit with family so I was not able to finish. I turned the audio WAY UP on the other 2 meter rig - when I tried sending a packet and I was able to hear a very faint burst of the packet. So, you may be right about the audio level being way down. I will check it out later today. Thanks for the help. I will let you know what I find out. 73 for now Chris -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of VE7GDH Sent: Thursday, November 23, 2006 8:22 PM To: aprssig at lists.tapr.org Subject: RE: [aprssig] WinAPRS to work with an MFJ 1278 tnc Chris KB4CMF wrote... > I don't hear any tones when I send packets... I couldn't find a manual for the MFJ 1278, but I looked at the manual for a 1270C/1274C and it indicated that the CALIBRA command was used to get it to transmit the tones while you calibrate the output levels. Hit K for transmit, hit the space bar to get the higher tone, and when you are finished, Q to quit. The instructions for that TNC indicated that there was a pot for adjusting the level. Would your 1278 be similar? 73 es cul - Keith VE7GDH -- "I may be lost, but I know exactly where I am!" _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
