[aprssig] Directional antennas for APRS Digis

Hi All,

  Has anyone switched from an omni antenna to a directional one to provide
coverage to an area more specifically?  Did you make the change based on
channel crowding (too many digis/stations in the unintended area), or based
on getting better coverage to an area because the digi's location was off
center from the desired coverage area?

1. What kind of antenna did you use?
2. What is the terrain of the area (digi on a mountain/hill)?
3. After you made the change, did it meet expectations?

If your digi lived its entire life with directional coverage, you can
comment there as well.
