Hi Bob. I think this is a great idea, though I'm wondering about stations such as Digipeaters how changing the symbol is going to help overall network recognition. What is more important? Knowing that the station is a functioning digipeater, or knowing by it's symbol that it is off grid? W7RBV-2 is a solar-powered digipeater in Southwest Nevada. I have voltage telemetry coming from it, but I have not yet been able to do current or temperature telemetry. I might attempt that again in the near future. Telemetry is currently compiled and shown at http://www.aprsca.net/w7rbv2.html If you need any more information for your database, let me know! 73 Phil - AD6NH Robert Bruninga wrote: > I'm considering a new Symbol for APRS to represent alternative > power > systems, so that owners can monitor their off-grid power > systems in > a standard way remotely.
