Actully, a dead cat would do well also for the WX part.  If it
is wet, it is raining, if it smells, it is hot.  If it is white,
it is snowing, etc.  If you want better temeprature, use a live
cat and a ruler.  The length of the cat is directly proportional
to temperature.  But then you have to feed it and clean up
afterwards, etc...
