What's criminal is using a friction-fit connector - at least the DB9 has locking screws to keep it plugged up. Many problems I've had with mobile APRS have been caused directly by a friction-fit connector coming unplugged. I am coming to despise USB, in part because of the easily dislodged connectors. -Jason kg4wsv
