This really works.  Already this morning I was able to see that
another fellow was at his radio and we ended up having a good chat on
the way to work.

It's also obvious now that I'm going to have to watch and keep the
message buffers cleared out.

My posting to "SCOUT" seems like a cry in the wilderness.  Is anybody
out there?  Can you hear me now?   It's definitely time to tweak
Xastir so it'll gate to RF by message destination...

PS.  I even learned lastnight that the D700 will scan a full megahertz
if it's asked to scan in VFO mode.  Cool!   Of course with the lack of
amateur activity around here it'll take 2 or 3 Megahertz just to find
one conversation.
