If you will look at the last field on page 2 
http://pages.suddenlink.net/kc5zrq/images/mcp2a-pg2.png it says, [Freq MHz] 
in the status text.  If I understand correctly, this will transmit the 
frequency on the control side of your radio to others so that they can 
contact you.  Is this correct?
