Partially.  The issue is that we suffer by companies being bound by 
inane rules that largely don't (or won't) apply anymore, thus making 
the D710 (and other receiver or transceiver devices) a creature of 
inflexibility.

It did stray off the path but I think that pretty much sums it 
up.  Analog cellular will be leaving, we'll probably still have these 
stupid rules about the cell band blocking.
