What I'd like to see is a dual-port USB sound card sort of thing that'd fit in a 3.5" drive bay (or maybe a PCI slot) and provide isolated radio interfaces. Then you just need a comprehensive, well-maintained custom Linux distribution for it. One more thing I don't have time to work on..
