[aprssig] Kenwood D710 KISS performance

Has anyone determined if the D710 corrects the deficiencies of the D700 with respect to KISS?  The D700 was prone to lock up, requiring a reset or power cycle to restore KISS mode.  At least that is the experience of two D700 users who tried to use it with UIView.  Apparently the cause was insufficient buffering on input.
