By the way...APRS (with digipeating and Internet) is now officially sanctioned for use during ARRL VHF contests. Despite a significant amount of field expertise existing on the topic, the ARRL's rules imply that none of it was tapped when the rules were written :) however baby-steps are better than no steps in my opinion. Expect to see more "Little Puppies" (GPSLP = "Rover") on the APRS maps when it comes to ARRL VHF contest times. Full rules: http://www.arrl.org/contests/announcements/rules-vhf.html.
