----- Original Message ---- From: Robert Bruninga <bruninga at usna.edu> Ev, See my next MS email. Could we use 147.545 for an emergency 2m MS response channel if needed during a disaster? Is that the PROPNET freq? Bob --------------------------- Absolutely. PropNET sends a single 1200 baud TX every 5 minutes. Other channel uses are welcomed with open arms (how's *that* for inter-hobby cooperation?). :) Here's a word of caution. The 2m band raster is different in different areas of the country. In SoCal 147.585 is not available due to repeater use of a different raster. However...this frequency seems to work fine over 95% of the continent. By all means, join us on 147.585.
