Nick, Most programs don't work with typical USB GPS inputs because the format is not NMEA, and they expect to see a serial port for input. (There are always exceptions!) However, you should be in luck with the GPS 18. Take a look at: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloadsDetails.jsp?id=1627&product=010-0 0321-05&cID=158&pID=223 The SPANNER program should fix both problems, as it converts the proprietary output to NMEA, and creates a virtual serial port which UI-VIEW32 should see. (You will need a port numbered 8 or below, as that is all UI-VIEW32 sees.) Note that you need to have the latest firmware, which you can also get from that site. Your unit is new, so unless it has been on a shelf for a few months, you should be current. I have a serial GPS 18, so have no experience with this software personally.
