Not enough market - better to make it usable as a tracker too. My entry into this area is the T2-135 (https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=55) board for the Alinco DR-135T. $169 for the radio + $75 for the board gives you a tracker/TNC/digi with WIDEn-N capability and remote control that works through APRS messaging. You don't get a dual VFO or big screen like the TM-D700A, but then it's only half the price and better suited to digi operation anyway. And it'll work as a weather station at the same time.
