"needhame1" <needhame1 at plateautel.net>, Mon, 5 Nov 2007 07:58:28 -0700: >I've never been to Europe, so am only speaking from ignorance here, >but aren't ALL the repeaters in Europe on a 1750 burst? I don'æt know for sure, but that's my impression. > If so, then >there really isn't any need to label them as such. If there are >other tones involved, then please ignore this thought... Some will open with a 1750 tone burst, but alternatively with a subtone without having to use 1750. Also, some cross-band repeaters will run only on subtone. In beacons from digis, 1750 repeaters have or haven't a comment where 1750 is written, and subtone digis might or mightn't have a Txxx comment. There probably are only a few digis sending beacons with repeater information. The majority of users aren't APRS users anyway... -- 73 de Jan, LA2BBA Hvaler, Norway
