Hey, everyone who watches '24' knows that the feds can track you through 
the GPS satellites!

Also, you can do infinite digital zooms with no loss of resolution 
(every security camera apparently stores hundreds of megapixels of 
resolution, just waiting to be revealed with some fancy software), and 
satellites remain motionless relative to their (live video) observation 
targets, but can be repositioned at whim.
