Answer is to set your beacon text to be: BT >146.520MHz blah blah... Or however you set up the beacont text in your device. The ">" makes it a STATUS text, but for NMEA trackers, this should get copied and saved. This makes it visible to anyone that looks at your station, and hopefully the kenwood will decode it and make it part of the entry in the station list and be able to auto-tune to it..
