I have used the nwaprs.info site for a long time as our settings here, however, it is not updated with Bob's latest submissions of how to identify a digi in the beacon text. I was hoping for something the same, but with Bob's new updates. I am working to make a near copy of the nwaprs.info page with updates for our state. Thanks! The "new" settings were actually adopted in the "Pacific Northwest" a year or so before it became the "new paradigm" so taking a look at www.nwaprs.info might be worthwhile. It doesn't go into the "why" as deeply as on Bob's site, but it has some very easy to understand suggestions for the settings. As Bob suggested, a search for "fix14439.html" should take you to http://web.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/aprs/fix14439.html. Consider adding an object to advertise the local voice repeater if the coverage of the digi is about the same as the voice repeater. It should go out direct in the beacon text every 10 minutes. There is an example on www.nwaprs.info/widen-n.htm. 73 es cul - Keith VE7GDH -- "I may be lost, but I know exactly where I am!" _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
