I have been playing about with power supply solutions here and have come to the conclusion the best is a battery. What I am going to do is a bit different though. A LINUX computer will run predict. When a satellite is above the horizon according to predict, I will throw a relay on a board off the printer port. The relay will disengage the battery from the charger and throw it across to the radio to energise for the next pass. When the satellite has gone back below the horizon, the relay will de-energise and flip back to the charger and turn the radio off. Anyone automated to this extent in their sat shack ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andrew Rich VK4TEC vk4tec at people.net.au http://www.tech-software.net -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
