correction 99 km is 61.5 miles (100 miles makes 160 km) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy AB9FX" <ab9fx at aprs.pl> To: "TAPR APRS Mailing List" <aprssig at lists.tapr.org> Sent: Monday, September 03, 2007 16:23 Subject: Re: [aprssig] TM-D710 Tune and Voice Object Two digit number has a limit of 99. So 99 meters is about 300 feet. I don't think any repeater range would fit in such number. So I think kilometers are much more appropriate, 99 km is about 160 miles. In such case m would be still for miles, and k for kilometers. 73 Andy > Would "m" for meters and "M" for miles work? > > Greg KO6TH > > > ----Original Message Follows---- > From: "Bob Bruninga " <bruninga at usna.edu> > Reply-To: TAPR APRS Mailing List <aprssig at lists.tapr.org> > To: TAPR APRS Mailing List <aprssig at lists.tapr.org> > Subject: Re: [aprssig] TM-D710 Tune and Voice Object > Date: Mon, 3 Sep 2007 15:44:32 -0400 (EDT) > > > "Rxxm" in those positions, to indicate the > > probable RANGE of XX in Miles > > > m is for meters.
