[aprssig] D700A TNC Problems????

Ken,

My first thought is that you are getting some RF from
the bike into the signal. This could be causing it to
appear off frequency or distorted so that the DIGI or
IGATE does not recognize the packet stream. You may
already know this but one thing to keep in mind is
that APRS only covers a range of 1/2 to 1/3 the range
as voice does. The packets have to be heard complete
or nothing happens. You could possibly add a little
delay in the setting. It may be keying so quickly that
it is clipping the packet at times also.
