You can also tell if it worked if you see "MY POS" on the D700's display head. If you are getting this curious, it may be time to pull off into a convenient parking lot and experiment for a few minutes. (: Recently I also changed the "beep" setting to beep on my packets, so I get audible feedback when my packets get digipeated. This has lead to some surprising results; on the lowest point of my morning commute, I occasionally get digipeated 4 times. I need to set up a laptop to capture that data and see who is doing it, because AFAIK I'm only in range of at most 3 digis, and I would not expect to be able to hit one of them. -Jason kg4wsv
