What do you mean "punch a message into the nuvi"? I know how to send messages from the control panel of the D710, but not sure how you would send an APRS message from a nvui? What am I missing? -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of Scott Miller Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2008 12:02 PM To: TAPR APRS Mailing List Subject: Re: [aprssig] Internet to RF gating of positions Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Since we always manage to forget to download cache data before leaving on a trip... would be nice to just punch a message into the nuvi and get the nearest 3 or 5 caches. Should work well with the D700/D710 too, assuming the IGate thing works. Scott N1VG
