A _mobile_ radio is intended to be installed in an automobile, and to survive the voltage drops and spikes. I have a TM-741, no blackouts, no brownouts, never. It's the same with the Spectra and various Nokias. And of course the MDR-150. The only radio thingy that gets confused sometimes when I crank the car at below-zero temperatures (Fahrenheit) is the alarm that resets to the default mode. Is this something that I should add to my list of why I should never invest in a ~1000$ APRS mobile radio? Benjamin OH3BK -- Live Reports from the Taxman's Paradise!
