A real beneficial addition to the GSFC retransmission operations for all mobiles in the region would be a radio and TNC on 144.39 with the callsign of WA3NAN. The beacon text would be set to once every 10 minutes. The beacon would say: >147.45 MHz Shuttle audio This would flash on all D7, D700's in VA, MD and DC as: WA3NAN 147.45 MHz Shuttle Audio And anyone with the new D710 can then tune it in with the press of just the single "TUNE" button. This TNC can be powered up with a relay connected to the main TX switch so that whenever retransmissions are in progress, this beacon is going out to all operators in the region! Remember, APRS is supposed to be an information resource to the mobile operator, not just vehicle tracking! Bob, WB4APR
