Yes, it makes the laptop APRS application so trivial for any laptop that has wireless access. Doesn't need any of the receive, decode, display, maps or anything. Just get that live from FINDU.COM. or APRSworld or any of the others. Done! Should be only a few K of code. Its only display is a set-up dialog box, and a text message window. wow... so who is going to write it? See the proposal on http://www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/APRS-OLPC.html I have updated the suggested set-up dialog box so that the format is a little more standardized to include name and the type of station (home, work, etc). It will also allow any APRS symbol to be used if this is run on any laptop or PC, but if it is run on the XO laptop, then we want it forced to be the APRS symbol for the XO laptop only. Bob, Wb4APR
