[aprssig] Stream/Water Gauge

Anyone know what hardware people are using for the APRS stream/river
gauges?  I'm trying to get a starting point with designing and installing
some.  With all the recent flooding here in Eastern Iowa there has been a
demand for better monitoring of the small streams near farmland. There is
also an almost non-existant use of APRS in my area so I was thinking this
might be a good way to utilize it.
