The context of your statement (including your response) implies that there is some level of equivalency between AX.25/APRS and D-STAR. This is inaccurate and I have tried to highlight that point throughout my posts. While you claim to be "thinking outside" your "APRS and D-STAR goggles", your post was AX.25 and data-centric with its references to D-STAR, the need for "bridges", etc. Again, my post simply stated that your comments regarding D-STAR and "bridges" between networks were inaccurate and required no further elaboration on this APRS SIG. If you wish to discuss the inaccuracies about D-STAR, I will be happy to correspond with you privately or on a D-STAR list. 73, Pete Loveall AE5PL pete at ae5pl dot net > -----Original Message----- > From: Tim Cunningham > Sent: Monday, July 07, 2008 5:38 PM > To: TAPR APRS Mailing List > Subject: Re: [aprssig] was: Old adnauseum subject: APRS Source > Routing(now: thesummary of reality) > > Please forgive me, maybe I should have used the word "translator" > instead of > "bridge".
