Well, I see the ironic part of that one :-), but:
It was suggested (by Bob, I think) that european hams use a PL
differently from 100Hz, e.g. in Voice Alert, to avoid interference
from or with the AC frequency of 50 Hz. However, many repeaters use a
PL of 100 Hz, and nobody afaik has had any trouble with that.
