Try to explain a "brown out" state to a customer of a mobile data communication product who decided to save some money and use the product with a cigarette lighter adapter instead of installing it correctly. Oh yeah, the lighter cord was too short so they used an extender cable. Oh yeah, they needed to power a second device, so they used a Y-adapter. 15-feet later...everything "powered up", but worked only for a short period of time before ceasing...with all lights "on".
