Yes a misguided comment. It does not become "ham" until you hit an APRS-IS Stream or an RF network. Bit of a loose comment. South Africa, what does that have to do with the price of eggs. The band etc and network would determine that. Ah - PIC 18F252 - you would be locked down Again, when does "ham" no longer become "ham" - I have not got all night and I dont care that much ----- Original Message ----- From: Arno Verhoeven (PE1ICQ) To: TAPR APRS Mailing List Sent: Monday, May 19, 2008 9:27 PM Subject: [SPAM] Re: [aprssig] GPRS Michael Carey wrote the following on 2008-05-19 10:38: > This product comes to mind... > > http://www.eytraker.com/ > > On the web page there is a big fat note stating "EYTraker is only available to Licenced Radio Amateurs" I wonder why? The device does not use a transmitter, anybody can use GPRS (as long as you pay your subscription with your network operator). 73, PE1ICQ _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
