Yes, we hook up an external KPC-9612 TNC which has both 1200 and 9600 baud and then with the D700, we can actually monitor two simultneous satelilte downlinks at the same time, and on one of them, be receiving both 1200 or 9600 baud at the same time. We used this on the Pcsats that downlink in 1200 and 9600 and any combination on two separate channels. But with the external TNC you can only operate one band at a time. To operate a TNC cross band, you have top use only the internal TNC. Or use the extrnal TNC connected to the speaker jack instead of the "data" jack. Also, you could plug the DISPLAY HEAD from a D710 or stand-alone RC-710 into that D700 data jack and have all APRS functions on the two separate heads simultaneously. Bob, Wb4APR
