Stephen, I was only trying to clarify the licence conditions in the UK, there was no need for the lecture.

In the absence of any note KAM tones are assumed and the frequency quoted is the dial frequency. The matter of the actual sideband frequencies and the difference with various TNCs was dealt with in an article I wrote for www.apritch.myby.co.uk/hf.htm many years ago.
