Steve Noskowicz <noskosteve at yahoo.com>, Fri, 7 Nov 2008 21:38:58 -0800 (PST) >Then there's 14.253.55 "fourteen point two fifty three dot fifty five" I thought using different words for the two decimals would improve intelligibility as well. Only one of them can be a _decimal_ mark. You either have 14,25355 MHz, or 14253,55 kHz. (the , being the european decimal separator). When speech synthesised, I'd think the individual digit method would be better in order to suit users with different home languages, and then probably also a standardisation to kHz. "one four two five three decimal five five kilohertz" just my 16 øre (i.e. 2 EU cents) worth... -- 73 de Jan, LA2BBA Hvaler, Norway
