ld support your needs. I'm not related to Garmin in any way=2C but their G=
PS Map 60CSx has a built-in altimeter and magnetic compass=2C and pretty se=
nsitive receivers=2C it would be worth a look. It's basically the same as =
my eTrex Vista HCx=2C but it has a serial port (and is in a big ugly packag=
e).

Just stay away from the car-oriented ones.

Good luck=2C

I just=20
remembered Brent wrote Waypoint+ before APRSsa. I think I have a copy somew=

but if not he may still have it on the web. Waypoint+ saved and transfered=

waypoints for the Garmin and then eventually evolved into APRSsa which I wa=

lucky enough to Alpha test. Other than a memory hog I loved that=20
program.

I just=20
want to save everything up and keep it safe till I either get the GPS fixed=
 (I=20
doubt I will bother) or decide on what other GPS I will use for the propert=

navigation. I got 30 acres here of pine tree farm and use a handheld GPS ve=

often to get distances and bearings=2C a lot of the property can not be see=

rom=20
the days of the GPS II=2C III and V=2C they have some neat displays and fea=

but have also been taken mainstream consumer which I call "stupified". Lack=
