The easy way (I think you tried it) is to quickly bring up the APRS menu on your radio and change your call to TRAFIC. THen press the BCON button a few times to make sure it is digipeated. THen press the PM# button to re-load your normal config (and callsign). This TRAFIC Object will show on everyone's maps, alerting them to the TRAFIC problem, and they can see your LOCATION, Direction and speed. Since you are inching along in traffic, you probably have time for the few keystrokes to do this. If you don't want to save the "TRAFIC" callsign in a separate PM, then you must manually make the change, but then it is easy to reload your original PM to get back to your own call. Bob, WB4APR
