As the release engineer of the latest gnuais version, I should warn you that it's not a very full-featured or completed product quite yet. But if you're willing to play with beta-quality Linux software and compiling your own from the source code, you might have fun with it. The latest version 0.1.0 has an improved DSP decoder (by OH2BNS, author of gmfsk), but it's still probably not as good as ShipPlotter. But it's certainly much better than in the previous release. Also, the local GUI is not working in 0.1.0 - the interface between the decoder program and the GUI needs a rewrite. http://oh7lzb.blogspot.com/2008/12/gnuais-010-released.html - Hessu, OH7LZB
