If the Opentracker had three configs I'd have set up three different speed ranges and changed the beacon rate as it sequences through them to alleviate this problem. Currently I switch from SmartBeaconing(tm) to fixed beaconing @ 7 minute intervals at a low mph (7?). The APO2 then shuts off power to the whole shebang after 2 or 3 transmissions.
