Besides, as I noted deep within another message, if EchoLink did this, 
that still doesn't resolve the event rate issues recently brought to the 
surface.  One script generating 2000 packets is the same (actually 
lighter) than 2000 nodes each generating their own packet.  If EchoLink 
updated their software, then each node that has RF and Position 
information configured would be doing this itself anyway.
