Thanks for the effort. Is there someone in the MI area that could call his home. I suspect it's a misconfigured device, and someone playing, but it may not be. He has a listed phone number. I would call but am not familiar with the area and if questions were asked I might not have answers. It's an uncontrolled (no tower) field in Niles, MI. I'm wondering if the plot is off and he actually landed at the airport, or if the plot is correct and he landed in the trees. That is an aircraft registration. There should still should be (to be legal) a ham call associated with it. It you have a moving track on it, I doubt it is an emergency although I have no idea as to policy on APRS as to emergency beacons.
